PRESCHOOL / KINDERGARTEN

While the preschool program continues following the developmental milestones of the children, the focus is on pre-academic skills.  These include social and emotional age appropriate maturities such as responsibility, truthfulness, politeness, and sharing.  Focus is also placed on exploring letters, symbols, reading, puzzles, and group meetings for calendar, singing, sharing stories and poems, etc.  The children use different writing materials and explore math concepts.  Language, gross motor, and art experiences are also a part of the curriculum.

The children gradually develop skills in writing, reading, listening, and speaking.

Math concepts are taught through block play, water play, science and art activities, as well as specific activities such as sorting, matching, classifying, sequencing, patterns, sets, time, measurement, shapes, and numbers.

Some of the field trip experiences are community visits for a closer look at social studies and the world around us.
